Click on the button to download the Timer application.
Requires Adobe Air^TM.

NOTE: Vertabase Timer is distributed as is. Use at your own risk.

Vertabase Timer runs on Adobe AIR^TM and is written in Flex. You will need Adobe Air^TM. installed before proceeding with the Vertabase Timer installation.

Quick Guide

To start tracking time on a project, client or activity, click "Start."
To stop tracking time on a project, client or activity, click "Stop;"
Or, simply start typing the name of a new project, client or activity. This will automatically stop the time on the current item.

You can then add details about that project, client or activity.
You can add them after clicking "Stop" or anytime through the Show Time report.

If you've tracked time on the project, client or activity already, it will be listed in the autosuggest and available in the drop down on the right.
If not, type it in and click "Start." This will add the project, client or activity to the list of items.

Preferences can be set by clicking on the person icon at the top of the Vertabase Timer. You can select the time format (24 hour or 12 hr am/pm), the date format (US or European) and whether you want to export data externally.

"Show Time" shows you how you've spent your time by project, client or activity. Clicking on any item allows you to edit that activity. You can delete items from the autosuggest or drop down by deleting it in the Show Time section.

"Export" exports your time usage report to either an XML file, a CSV file or a server for building reports using information from many people using a JSON post.

"Clear" deletes the information in "Show Time."

WARNING: Make sure you Export your information before you Clear or delete an item. This is the only way to save historic data. Once you Clear or delete, that information is gone.

So, What's New in v2.0

Elapsed time -both now and for all time;
24hr or 12hr am/pm time preferences;
European and US date format preferences, DD/MM/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY;
Rapid task switching. Typing in a new item to time will automatically stop the clock on the previous item and save that time (you can add notes later);
Autosave when the application closes.
Export to an external server (for details on the structure of the export visit the Vertabase Timer Forum).

And what was new in v1.5

This included export to CSV, making activities editable and adding meaningful tags to the XML export.
The application was also rebuilt in Adobe Flex.
